As the name implies, Cooler Master is a manufacturer with a focus on cooling products – usually with high quality components – and the Notepal Infinite is no exception. It is available in 6 different colors and is fed power through a free USB port on your laptop. Cooler Master has tweaked the internal structure for the air distribution grid to increase cooling efficiency by 150%, or so they say. The Notepal Infinite comes with an fan that is adjustable in three steps – 1000, 1500 or 2000rpm, which of course has an effect on the overall noise level. It ranges between approximately 15 – 20.5 dB from the lowest to the highest setting.
There is an air outlet at the back of the unit, so it can be used in any situation, whether it’s as a desk stand or as a support on the couch or in bed. The base is raised by 8.5 degrees to improve ergonomics.
In the Notepal Infinite, Cooler Master has designed a stylish and effective cooler, with an option for various colors according to our taste. Although it only includes one fan, this seems to be enough to keep the temperature to a minimum.
It maintains a continuous airflow around the bottom of the laptop, and the option to adjust the fan speeds is a welcome addition to an otherwise great package, especially since the top speed can be a bit noisy. The cooler is effective even at lower speeds, where it remains barely audible. In all an excellent product that we can recommend with a good conscience.
